To me, beauty is in how we nourish our bodies, embrace life, and interact with others. It is taking adventures and traveling to see new faces, sights, food, landscapes, and cultures. It is being one with nature and treating our planet with kindness and respect – perhaps the same kindness and respect we want for ourselves. Beauty is in relationships, family, friends, exercise, food, learning, books, sharing our knowledge and wisdom with others, offering a helping hand, and so much more!
Today we live in a society that glamorizes exterior beauty and often times it leaves people feeling inadequate if they don’t fit that “ideal” image that is so often seen on TV, in magazines, and on the world wide web. To me, this superficiality is not healthy or sustainable. Hair and makeup are wonderful and fun, but there’s so much more to beauty.
And so I set out on a journey to discover how our lives can be enriched by expanding on the meaning of beauty and to empower others to discover the beauty that is unique to them. May you join me on this journey and help build a community and world that values beauty within the soul and beyond the skin!
